Initially created to provide fabric coverings and enclosure for the automotive industry, our department is now busy responding to the need for medical gowns. Pine Valley Packaging has dedicated it’s production space to the emergency requirements of the medical profession for full coverage PPE equipment.

Covid-19 Preparations

Through 2020, We manufactured Face Shields for public, business and institutional uses.
The flexible clear visor provides added protection from airborne droplets, which are now recognized as one of the major sources of  virus contamination.

Many office employees are working from home and the production areas are limited to essential personal and their specific projects.

Pine Valley has also pioneered the portable fold out shelters that can be shipped in a flat cardboard box and then simply expanded into a full sized room, complete with polypropylene walls and ceiling and attached floor. The fabric ends for the zippered doors are also attached.

PVP Mexico — BMW Approved Supplier

We have received notification from BMW that Pine Valley Mexico is now an approved supplier and we anticipate that we will also get approval from BMW USA. PVP Mexico has received their first order.

Additional 30,000 sq. ft. Indoor Storage Space Completed

We have recently completed a major expansion of our indoor Fabrication and Storage facilities, as well as updating our  gated Outdoor Storage area. The additional 30,000 sq ft. indoor storage area not only allows for three more shipping bays, but also allows us to expand our designated fabrication areas.

With the increased indoor storage space we have been able to expanded the Production areas. We have designed our work flow with designated modular station areas, that can be easily configured to produce a specific product on a days notice. These modular ongoing and post processing areas are called FLEX Lines. We now have increased capacity to manage six of these lines, that can be individually configured to meet all of our client needs.

Robot Waterjet – 2019

Pine Valley has installed a  Dual Arm, 6 axis  Robot Waterjet Cutter that will augment our  2D MultiCam CNC Waterjet Cutter. The new Robot Waterjet will  allow 3D compound cutting of foam and plastic materials. Additional options include: 2D cutting, cleaning and slitting. Angled cutting allows PVP to design package configurations that have higher parts density and tighter parts fitting.  This new piece of automated equipment will allow us to mass produce customized packaging solutions in greater volumes for our customers at cost effective pricing.

The robot waterjet cutting systems, will provide the ideal solution to producing high volume automotive foam components, working with greater efficiency and producing cleaner cut edges that do not require additional attention.

Bringing automation to this process provides significant increases in throughput and produces more consistent test samples, while reducing the design revision process. Final designs will reach the OEM or Tier 1 much faster.

We are very excited to share that Pine Valley Packaging won an award for successful achievement in our industry from WBE Canada (Women’s Business Enterprise.) WBE Canada has done tremendous work in certifying female-owned businesses and helping them foster new relationships and grow business opportunities.
Hosted at WBE’s Breakfast with Brands: Automotive event, themed “Women Driving Change”, we were invited to receive this prestigious award in front of other successful WBEs and leaders in the automotive industry.

Our team at PVP is honoured to be recognized for our protective packaging ingenuity in the automotive industry. We plan to develop many exciting initiatives this year, including an increased presence in the U.S. and Mexico.
